“Every great journey begins with small steps—and so does love for our country.”
At Duscha Preschool and Daycare, we believe that values like respect, pride, and love for the nation should be nurtured from the very beginning. And what better occasion to sow these seeds than Independence Day? 🌸
How We Celebrate Independence Day at Duscha
Our teachers take this opportunity to gently introduce our little ones to the story of India’s freedom. Of course, at such a young age, children don’t yet understand the complexities of history. But through stories, songs, and fun activities, they begin to sense the importance of this special day.
Children gather around as the teacher narrates simple tales of freedom fighters—like how Gandhiji fought with peace, not weapons, or how Nehru loved children dearly. The tricolor flag becomes more than just a piece of cloth; it turns into a symbol of unity, courage, and dreams.
Why Do We Celebrate Independence Day?
Our teachers explain it in the simplest way: “A long time ago, India was not free. Brave men and women worked very hard so that today, we can go to school, play with friends, and live happily in our own country. That’s why we celebrate Independence Day—with joy and pride.”
Through this, children slowly learn that the freedom they enjoy is a gift earned by countless sacrifices.
Activities That Spark Pride and Joy
At Duscha, Independence Day isn’t just about stories—it’s about experience. Kids participate in:
- Flag Hoisting 🎉 – standing proudly as they sing the National Anthem with tiny hands on their hearts.
- Craft Time ✂️ – making tricolor kites, badges, and paper flags.
- Songs & Rhymes 🎶 – learning simple patriotic songs that fill the room with cheer.
These small activities create big memories, reminding children that they are part of something larger—the spirit of India.
Why It’s a Proud Moment for All of Us
Independence Day is not just a date on the calendar; it’s a reminder of courage, unity, and dreams fulfilled. For us at Duscha, it’s also a chance to see our children connect with their roots. Watching them sing “Jana Gana Mana” with bright eyes and innocent smiles fills every teacher and parent with pride.
Because one day, these little ones will grow up to carry India’s legacy forward—with love, respect, and responsibility.
